VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers - we call them our "partners in ministry" - are the heart of the camp. These are the people that make a difference in the lives of others through their hard work and dedication to the cause.
2 TYPES OF VOLUNTEERS
#1. Ministry Volunteer: a person who is volunteering on the grounds during camping season to assist with the workload while campers are present.
#2. Service Project Volunteer: A person who volunteers to assist with service projects to improve the facilities while campers are not present on the grounds.
All of our volunteers are important to our ministry. As a camp we have policies and procedures in place to protect our staff and our campers. Our volunteers will need to follow these policies and procedures as well. By keeping all of our staff and volunteers up to date on schedules and procedures we ensure the experience for our guest will be a pleasant one.
Below is a copy of our Volunteer Policy. All volunteers are required to read and sign that they agree to the policy. Our Ministry Volunteers will also be subject to back ground checks, required training, and completion of required paperwork. They must also be ready to share Jesus with anyone they encounter at the campground while working with a servant heart and Christlike attitude.
PROJECTS
The list of projects that we need help with is ever changing. There are always minor repairs, updates to facilities, simple handyman projects and major remodels on the list. We also need improvements to activities and equipment repairs.
We could not survive here at Cedar Springs, were it not for our faithful volunteers. Whether it is an individual or a group that comes for the day or weekend, we always have needs.
